Hi, I'm Alex, 35M. I'm a photographer / somatic practitioner looking to capture some images for a new project, Shadow Poets Mag. Currently in Exeter but available around the whole Devon / Bath / West region.
This project, using the foundations of Carl Jungs teachings on exploring the shadow self, creates safe spaces to explore and capture themes based around our hidden desires. The daydreams we tend to have between projects. on the bus, or standing in line at the post office. The things we often feel too shy to discuss due to our religious upbringing or societal conditioning.
The theme we're focussing on currently is based on the Liquid Love experience that's been running in London for over a decade. The concept is super simple and perfect for anyone, even if you've never modeled before. We're looking to shoot between 1-5 models to capture the pure sensation of touch through the medium of oil. We'll be focussing mostly on hands, so beautiful stills and slow motion clips of hands on bodies, neck, backs etc.
This will be a clothed session, so underwear, leotard or similar and also faceless so full anonymity guaranteed. (We let the models delete from the camera on the day and sometimes even bring their own memory cards for extra peace of mind. As the project is also about writing, if you prefer to not be on camera at all that can still be possible.)
The concept is to create a space to capture two or more bodies fully melting into eachothers essence, being present with sensations yet without the complications or expectations of anything more. Pure presence and pleasure. So less of a performance, more of a beautiful, somatic experience. Boundaries in terms of touch limits can be discussed before hand with no deviation to ensure a fully enjoyable & safe session.
The project will be a stylish mix of images and writing, so our ideal participants will be happy either sharing their feelings leading up to the experience, after, or both.
Requirements and session details:
Model preference: F
Must be 18-30
Facetime / call / coffee meet before hand for peace of mind totally possible, whatever is needed to feel fully comfortable.
The session will take place on a closed set so just you, the photographer and any other models involved (depending whether you've chosen to shoot with others or alone). The location will be confirmed but also open to using your space if preferred. Transport can be provided / covered.
Compensation for time will be £30 for an hour, and we'll be shooting a few sessions so perfect for students between studies / exams.
